Fortnite Battle Royale, but he’s starting to question whether or not he understands what Epic Games are doing with the title.
The developer has made a number of changes to the popular battle royale game which have caused some confusion for Ninja, as well as many other streamers and professional players.
Based on his recent criticisms, though, there’s a chance that the dedicated Fortnite streamer is starting to lose faith in the developer.
Why is Ninja unhappy with the v8.20 Fortnite update?
“The revert back to Season 1 settings, adding arena, increasing queue times in the later sections, and now removing stretch resolution from competitions,” Ninja listed during a tweet on April 3.
“All of this somehow better be paying off,” he continued. “Because, if this is somehow not benefiting Epic, I don’t know what they are doing.”

Has Ninja changed his mind about Fortnite stretch resolution?
Ninja’s tweet also attracted a response from Team SoloMid’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, too, who questioned if the streamer’s previous ‘stance’ – to not have stretched resolution in competitive play – still stands.

“This tweet annoys me severely,” Ninja responded. “It is mostly about how they are executing everything. Allowing stretched [resolution] at the last Secret Skirmish, then switching a week after Arena even launches? I was practicing with it and now it’s all wasted.”
Ninja previously explained to his fans – back in August, 2018 – why he thought players would never be able to play with stretch resolution in competitive play. Now, the developer has made the call to remove it.

Fortnite’s ranked Arena mode
For those who aren’t aware, Fortnite’s new Arena is the first step in building a proper place for ranked play on the game and was released with the v8.20 update.
After several heated outbursts from high profile figures in the game’s online community, it’s unclear if Epic Games will pull off a U-turn and reverse the changes Ninja, and others, have listed.
What is clear, though, is that a lot of people are still confused by the direction in which the developer is taking the game.
