Fortnite Metallica Quests require you to Jam at a Jam Statue for 5 seconds to start an Encore Session. Here’s how to Jam in Fortnite at these statues and all the Jam Statue locations in Chapter 5 Season 3.
With the Fortnite patch 30.10 update, Epic has launched Fortnite Festival Season 4 with Metallica as its heavy metal band headliners. Just like in the Star Wars collab from Season 2, you can complete a bunch of Metallica quests to earn XP and other Metallica-themed cosmetic rewards.
There are 5 Metallica Encore Quests which all require you to “Jam at a Jam Statue for 5 seconds to start an Encore Session.” For this, you will need to know where to find all of these Jam Statue locations and then how to start the Jam to complete each quest, so here’s how.
How to Jam in Fortnite
To initiate a Jam in Fortnite, you must have a Jam Track assigned to your locker. Jam Tracks can be earned from the Battle Pass or Festival Pass rewards, and can also be purchased from the Item Shop. Once you’ve assigned them to your locker, just head into a Fortnite match.
Here is how to Jam in Fortnite:
- Open your Emote wheel by pressing the designated key/button.
- Navigate to the Jam Loops category and select a song and instrument of your choice.
- Press the Select key and soon you’ll start playing the song.
How to Jam at a Jam Statue in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
To Jam at a Jam Statue in Fortnite, head to a Jam Statue location across the Battle Royale map, enter the Jam zone, and start a Jam by pressing your emote button (B on PC or down on the D-pad for consoles).
To complete the “Jam at a Jam Statue for 5 seconds to start an Encore Session” Metallica Encore Quest, you will need to continue jamming for 5 seconds.
Once you have completed the quest, you will be notified in the top left-hand corner and you will receive 10,000 XP as your quest reward.

All Jam Statue locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
There are 7 Jam Statue locations you can find across the Battle Royale map in Chapter 5 Season 3. They are mainly found at several POIs around the island, but three of these are located at landmarks situated around the center of the Wasteland biome.
Here are all the 7 Jam Statue locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3:
- The Underworld
- Lavish Lair
- Pleasant Piazza
- Mount Olympus
- Megalo Depot – in between Brutal Beachhead and Redline Rig
- Pea Bois HQ – southeast of Nitrodome and northeast of Redline Rig
- Next to the bridge east of Sandy Steppes and northeast of Brutal Beachhead.
The Wasteland area is likely to remain as the most popular part of the map throughout Season 3, so if you just want to Jam at a Jam Statue to complete one of the Metallica Quests, then you will be best heading to one of the other locations.
In particular, Lavish Lair should only have a few enemies landing at this part of the map and its statue is located a strong distance from the main manor building, at the front entrance.
So, if you are able to eliminate the enemies nearby or even just land straight on the statue, you should be able to initiate a Jam Session or Encore Session in peace and complete the Metallica Quest.
Metallica has added brand-new Fortnite skins and cosmetics for every band member, the Metallica Loot Island and Ride the Lightning guitar mythic to the Battle Royale mode in Chapter 5 Season 3. Epic has also announced there will also be a live in-game concert event rocking out on June 22 and June 23.
