A free skin is up for grabs in Fortnite called the Wooly Warrior and here’s how you can claim that mammoth-themed skin.

The Fortnite Wooly Warrior skin will be closing out the Winterfest festivities and players will be able to scoop it up free of charge.

In fact, this isn’t even the first free skin given away as part of Winterfest. The first is the Lt. Evergreen skin, which players were able to open up earlier in the event.

How to get the Wooly Warrior for free

This Wooly Warrior skin will be given away as one of the final gifts during Winterfest. Everyone guessed it was hiding in the unopenable gift and they were correct.

Depending on how players opened their gifts, they could have earned this skin as early as December 28. For everyone else, they just had to wait a couple more days.

All we’re looking to do here is open up the big green present. Once you do that, this skin will be added to your inventory. No matter what, if you log in before the event concludes, you’ll be able to get the skin for free.

One thing that helps set the Wooly Warrior apart from its Lt. Evergreen predecessor is it has more of a winter feel to it. The Evergreen skin is tied to the holidays, which have since passed, so a lot of people have already retired it for the year.

Even if this isn’t a cosmetic you plan on wearing a whole lot, it’s hard to turn down a free gift. You can still open gifts even if you haven’t played during all of Winterfest, so you still have time to claim some free rewards.
