Season 8 Week 7 Discovery Challenge

As always, Fortnite fans have a brand new Discovery challenge to complete once they finish all seven of the regular weekly challenges.

This week, players will need to be on the lookout for a hidden Battle Star, and can use the loading screen they unlock when they complete the weekly challenges to search for it. The hint for the Battle Star location is tricky, but you can use our handy guide to save a lot of searching.

Deal 100 damage with a Pickaxe to opponents [5 Battle Stars]

Fortnite players will need to ditch their weapons for this challenge, as damage must be dealt with a pickaxe to earn the five Battle Stars reward.

The easiest way to complete this challenge is to either land right beside someone at the start of the match and hit them when they have no gun, or knock someone in a duos or squads match, and use the Pickaxe to eliminate them.

Stage 1: Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match [1 Battle Star]

Fairly straightforward, players will need to visit a number of named locations in a single match to complete this challenge.

Thankfully, most of the locations are fairly close together, meaning you won’t have to traverse from one corner of the map to the other to finish this challenge.

    The stages are:

    1. Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match [1 Battle Star]
    2. Visit Pleasant Park and Dusty Divot in a single match [2 Battle Stars]
    3. Visit Happy Hamlet and Snobby Shores in a single match [2 Battle Stars]

Visit 3 Pirate Camps in a single match [10 Battle Stars]

Pirate Camps are back in the Fortnite weekly challenges, with three visits to different outposts required to complete this challenge.

The Pirate Camps are spread out across the map, so aiming for three which are relatively close together is the quickest way to complete this challenge. All three must be visited in a single match, so if you’re eliminated before you make it to the third and final Camp, you’ll have to start over in the next match.

Fortnite players need to visit three Pirate Camps in one match.

Deal 500 damage to players from above [5 Battle Stars]

Pain will be raining down on opponents, as you deal damage to players from above them. The easiest way to complete this challenge is to build above opponents when in gunfights, or sit on elevated positions like towers and hills and fire down at your enemies.

Search Chests at Loot Lake or Snobby Shores [5 Battle Stars]

Another simple challenge, players will need to open seven chests at either of these locations to complete this one. While both areas have plenty of chests, it’s likely that both locations will be much busier than they were previously, so prepare for enemies to appear and try to take you down.

Stage 1: Deal damage to opposing players while riding a Zipline [5 Battle Stars]

The second staged challenge of the week, Fortnite fans must deal damage to players while riding a Zipline to complete the first stage. Then, they will need to keep an eye out for opponents who are utilizing a Zipline themselves, and deal damage to them.

    1. Deal damage to opposing players while riding a Zipline.
    2. Deal damage to opposing players who are riding a Zipline.

Eliminate five opponents in different named locations [10 Battle Stars]

Fortnite fans will have to take out five enemy players in named locations. These are any places on the Fortnite map that have a name, so head towards spots like Tilted Towers or Pleasant Park to find opponents you can eliminate to earn 10 Battle Stars.
