Fortnite’s Winterfest 2020 event, otherwise known as Operation Snowdown, has begun and we’ve got all the info on the challenges, how you can complete them, and what rewards they’re offering.
Epic Games’ huge Christmas Fornite event is underway and there’s a range of cosmetic rewards to earn. These unlocks are all tied to specific challenges that will need to be completed in-game.
Luckily for us, they’re relatively simple and shouldn’t take too long for players to finish up. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about Operation Snowdown’s challenges and rewards.
Thanks to Fortnite data miner iFireMonkey, we’ve been able to take a look at what we’ll need to get done this holiday season. These challenges have now been added to the game by Epic and can be started right now.

Below are all of the challenges that you’ll need to complete for the Operation Snowdown missions:
- Complete Epic Quests (73)
- Visit different Snowmando outposts (1) – 10,000 XP + ‘Frost in action’ loading screen
- Deal damage with Lever Action Rifle (100) – 10,000 XP + ‘Fish Fest’ emote
- Complete Operation Snowdown Quests (9/12) – ‘Snowmando’ outfit + ‘Frost Squad’ oufit
- Dance at Different Holiday trees (5) – 10,000 XP + ‘Snow Strike’ emote
- Search chests at Snowmando outposts (5) – 10,000 XP + ‘Shield Surprise’ backbling
- Place Top 10 with friends in Squads (3) – 20,000 XP + ‘Snow Steel’ wrap
- Destroy Nutcracker statues (5) – 10,000 XP + ‘Blustery Bag’ backbling
- Travel 5,000 meters in X-4 Stormwings – 10,000 XP + ‘Snowblaster’ emote
- Shoot down opponent structures with X-4 Stormwings (10) – 20,000 XP + ‘Winter Wing’ glider
- Collect Gold Bars (100) – 10,000 XP + ‘GG Fresh’ emote
- Catch a Snowy Flopper – 10,000 XP + ‘Toe Pick’ pickaxe
- Revive a player in different matches (3) – 20,000 XP + ‘Merry Marauding’ load screen
- Hide inside a Sneaky Snowmando in different matches (3) – 10,000 XP + ‘Merry Fishmas’ emote
- Play duos/squads with friends (5) – 20,000 XP + ‘Frosty Globes’ harvesting tool
- Stoke a campfire (2) – 10,000 XP + ‘Confetti’ wrap
- Deal damage at Snowmando outposts (25) – 10,000 XP
- Use Chiller Launcher to apply icy feet to opponents (10) – 20,000 XP
Snowmando will be awarded once you complete nine challenges, and the Frost Squad skin, which will probably still be popular once the event ends, is what you get for finishing 12.
