In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, choosing the best landing spots is crucial for gaining an early advantage and securing a Victory Royale during your Battle Royale matches.
Whether it’s landing spots with tons of loot or quieter spots with prime locations on the Island, some locations in Fortnite have proved better than others to head for when jumping out of the Battle Bus.
Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season has unleashed Doctor Doom’s reign onto the island bringing several Marvel additions, including three new POIs and new and returning Marvel weaponry.
Certain spots have already stuck out as having huge upsides compared to others, so here are the best Fortnite locations you can land at in Chapter 5 Season 4.
Best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
1. The Raft
Even though Castle Doom and the neighboring Doomstadt POI have taken more of the limelight with the release of Chapter 5 Season 4, The Raft is the best of them all.
It has the most chest spawns with 83 in total and joint-most Avengers(4) and Dr. Doom(6) chests making the loot haul insane for a POI that isn’t even that big. However, with mythic loot and the defeating Emma Frost, as well as Gwenpool’s missions, it has quickly become a popular place for players to land.
You will need to watch yourself and listen out for footsteps while you navigate the corridors and sections of The Raft prison. The Pleasant Piazza replacement for this season resembles a compact multiplayer level you might find in a Creative Gun Game map.
If you make it out alive you will be stacked full of loot and centrally located to strategically navigate between storm circles.
2. Castle Doom
Coming in a close second is Castle Doom, which has instantly become one of the most popular spots on the island. It only features one less chest spawn than The Raft, with 82 in total, and contains the same amount of Avengers Chests(4) and Dr. Doom Chests(6).
The home to Doctor Doom is protected by the NPC boss Doombot who sits on his throne and among all the chaos you can target certain sides of the castle or even the forge nearby to speedily loot up. If you defeat Doombot you will receive the Siphon Medallion, Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets mythic, and the Monarch Pistol mythic.
Doom’s Castle being located at the top right of the island makes it tricky to get out of in a hurry, especially if you are deep behind the castle walls and vehicles are quite far away. Roaming around the POI is also more complex than others with several rooms and buildings on an array of different levels.
So, keep a close eye on where the storm circles are heading to avoid needing a quick getaway.

3. The Underworld
The Underworld has more chests than Doomstadt, but they are more spaced out. However, with the green water providing Underworld Dash charges you can easily jump in and dart around quickly to either loot up or make a quick getaway.
Although it doesn’t have any Dr. Doom Chests to get your hands on, it has 5 Avengers Chests as part of the third-highest chest spawn total of 58 chests. Just be careful while moving around the POI as it is fairly open aside from the main building, which makes you an easy target for close-medium range.
4. Doomstadt
Doomstadt may be the worst out of all three of the new POI locations added as part of the Absolute Doom season update, but it is still better than the majority of the Chapter 5 Season 4 locations.
The small village location includes the fourth highest amount of chest spawns with 53, containing 2 Dr. Doom Chests and 4 Avengers Chests. Just land straight at a house and keep an eye on where each of the other players land, then loot up and take out any surrounding enemies.
It also features the NPC boss Mysterio, who drops his Stealth Medallion and the Sovereign Shotgun mythic. You can also check out the secret Iron Man bunker in the corner, or head over to the Dough-Main bakery, which is an homage to the original Doom’s Domain POI from Chapter 2 Season 4.
5. Doom’s Courtyard
Despite it not being that loot-dense in comparison to all the others in the list and locations across the map in general, this quieter option is still a viable choice.
With fewer people to defeat, and it still features a lot of aspects from the Classy Courts POI, such as the main building and car park, it is easy to navigate around. Not only that, but it comes equipped with 2 Dr. Doom chests to pull some powerful Marvel loot.
We’d recommend landing right under the statue’s heads, where inside you will find three standard gold chests and a Dr. Doom chest straight off the bat. This ensures you can loot up quickly and then take out any surrounding foes. Landing here also puts you in between the Castle Doom and Doomstadt POIs and has a car waiting for you in the car park to shoot off.
6. Reckless Railways
Reckless Railways is where the main train station, Grand Station, resides. It remains one of the best landing spots due to its central location and its abundance of loot. The train has also returned for Chapter 5 Season 4 and there is still a lot of fun to be had at this location despite it losing much of its popularity.
With 47 chests, including 4 Avengers Chests and seven vehicles around the area, this is a solid place to gear up and go. It is the perfect spot between locations such as Castle Doom and Mount Olympus, and its positioning toward the middle of the map with multiple vehicles makes it versatile for whatever the situation or storm circle location.
