Fortnite Season 7, Week 6 challenges and how to complete them – Search Chilly Gnomes, slide Ice Pucks and more

Believe it or not, the sixth week of Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale is upon us, and the Week 6 challenges went live on Thursday, January 10. Here’s everything you need to know.

Week 6 once again provides players with a total of seven challenges – three of these will be free-to-play and four that will be exclusive to owners of the Season 7 Battle Pass.

The official Week 6 challenges were leaked way ahead of time, which gave us a good idea of what to expect, but the official list has now been released and can be seen in the image below:

Epic Games have been known to switch some challenges out at the last minute in the past, so we wouldn’t have been surprised if some of the leaks didn’t make the final cut. In the end, though, the only difference was that one of the free challenges swapped positions with one of the Battle Pass ones.

With that said, here’s the full list of challenges for Week 6, Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale:

Here’s everything you need to know about completing the Week 6 challenges!

Week 6 Snowfall challenge

The Snowfall challenge returns once again for Week 6 of Season 7. This week, you’ll be looking for a hidden Banner instead of a Battle Star.

Check out our guide on how to find the secret banner and complete the Week 6 Snowfall challenge if your’re struggling.

Search Ammo Boxes in different named locations

This one’s nice an simple – just find Ammo Boxes in any named location – Tilted Towers, Retail Row, Paradise Palms etc.

In fact, it’s so simple that we expected it to be changed or reworded slightly. That’s not the case, though, so just open a total of seven ammo boxes and you’ll be finished! You can find them just about anywhere

Search Chilly Gnomes

If you’ve spotted any gnomes dotted around the map recently, this challenge explains why.

All you’ll need to do is find seven Chilly Gnomes and interact with them. Once you’re close to one, you’ll hear a giggling sound that should make it easier to pinpoint.

If you’re struggling, we’ve put together a guide with all of the known Chilly Gnome locations in Fortnite.

Eliminate opponents in Lucky Landing or Tilted Towers

All you need to do to complete this challenge is kill a total of three enemy players in either of the locations named.

Lucky Landing and Tilted Towers are both popular landing spots, so try to some good loot early and then concentrate on eliminating opponents. You don’t have to get all three eliminations in one match, so this should be rather straightforward.

If you’ve already unlocked the Crackshot loading screen, you should be able to complete the Ice Puck challenge.

Stage 1: Visit Polar Peak and Tilted Towers in a single match

The second of this week’s stage challenges will involve visiting different locations in a single match. There are three stages in total and you’ll need to complete them in this order:

  1. Visit Polar Peak and Tilted Towers in a single match
  2. Visit Lucky Landing and Retail Row in a single match
  3. Visit Lazy Links and Shifty Shafts in a single match

Slide an Ice Puck over 150m in a single throw

Mini games like this are always fun but this one has a catch. Unless Epic Games have decided to make the Ice Puck free for everyone, you’ll have to unlock it in the Battle Pass before you even begin worrying about throwing it.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to add the Ice Puck to your main emote wheel and throw it. Check out our ‘Slide an Ice Puck over 150m in a single throw’ Fortnite challenge guide for more information.

Stage 1: Deal damage with SMGs to opponents

The first of the stage challenges for Week 6 will ask players to deal out a total of 200 damage with various types of weapon. After dealing 200 damage with SMGs, the second stage will be to do the same with Assault Rifles and the final stage will be with Grenades, Clingers or Stink Bombs.

Of course, Clingers are currently vaulted, but reports suggest that Dynamite will work instead.

Deal damage with different weapons in a single match

With one challenge already requiring players to deal damage with weapons, we expected this one to be a placeholder that would be changed out for something a bit more interesting when the challenges went live.

We were wrong, though. This one is more difficult than it might seem though, you’ll have to survive long enough to hit opponents with five different weapons in order to complete it. We’d advise dropping somewhere with good early game loot but moving on quickly! One point of damage is enough to count for each weapon.
