Square Enix has released a 10th Anniversary Edition of Final Fantasy 14, containing additional in-game items to prepare you for the upcoming Dawntrail expansion.
Final Fantasy 14 10th Anniversary Edition’s name refers to a specific version of the game. Final Fantasy 14 actually launched in 2010, but the original version was so poorly received that it was completely retooled and launched as A Realm Reborn in 2013. That is the anniversary being celebrated.
Eorzea might have had a rough start, but it has gone from strength to strength since, becoming the most profitable entry in the Final Fantasy series. It’s also producing some of the franchise’s most highly acclaimed games, such as the Award-winning Heavensward, or the decorated Shadowbringers.
Those looking to enter the realm of Eorzea ahead of the new Dawntrail expansion (which you can read our preview of here) can now do so with a little extra help. The 10th Anniversary Edition available on the Square Enix website, comes with items that drastically hasten level progression.

The 10th Anniversary Edition comes with a copy of the Starter Edition with a 30-day subscription voucher and a Final Fantasy 14 mouse pad. More importantly, however, it comes with 50 Buttery Mogbiscuits, which are in-game items that provide an experience point bonus when consumed.
Luckily, you won’t need the biscuits immediately, as you can play up to level 70 for free. Once you’ve beaten the base game and the first two expansions, you’ll have the extra month and the experience point boosters to help you get through Shadowbringers and the Endwalker expansion.
If you’re starting fresh, then you’ll have to get your boots on. Dawntrail launches on July 2, with early access on June 28. You’ll have to clock in tens if not hundreds of hours to catch up. That said, if you’re already making your way through the game, then the 10th Anniversary Edition will help you soar through the levels quicker.
