EA SPORTS have announced Summer Heat, the newest promo in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, and we’ve got everything you need to know about this content-packed event.
With Team of the Season So Far now all wrapped up in FUT 20, EA SPORTS have rolled out another massive in-game promo called Summer Heat, which brings together a lot of different types of new content for players to enjoy.
There will be community-driven fan votes, ‘Best of’ re-releases of past special items, the return of some in-game favorites, new Weekend League FUT Champs rewards, and more.
Summer Heat voting
On some day throughout this event, players will be able to vote for an upgraded Summer Heat special item through Player Pick packs that will be added to their account.
Each pack will contain three loan nominee cards, and the winner will receive a sizeable boost and be made available through an SBC. The other two runner-up cards will also get their stats boosted, but can only be found within FUT Draft.
Summer Showdown cards
EA SPORTS will be highlighting one real-world football match each week by releasing a special Summer Heat SBC for one player on each team. The player on the winning team will receive a +3 overall stats boost, or, in case the match ends in a draw, both players will get a +1 overall boost.
‘Best of’ special items
At three different points throughout Summer Heat, EA will be releasing a set of special cards from many of FIFA 20’s part promos, including Headliners, Shapeshifters, TOTW, Ones to Watch, and more.
The first set, which is available in packs from June 17 – July 3, features 181 different cards released throughout the year, and there are some big names in the list.
Weekend League FUT Champs rewards
Because Team of the Season So Far is over, Weekend League rewards will be switched over to fit in with Summer Heat, so packs will include special cards from previous FUT 20 promos.

| Silver 1+ | Any player items earned from Player Pick packs will be from the above list of select FUT 20 campaign items and be rated 83 or higher. |
| Silver 2 and 3 | Any player items earned from Player Pick packs will be from the above list of select FUT 20 campaign items and will have a maximum rating of 88. |
There are close to 500 cards that will be included in the Summer Heat FUT Champs rewards, coming from campaigns like TOTSSF, FUT Birthday, Future Stars, Road to the Final, and many more.
Login loyalty rewards
In order to reward players for continuously playing FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, EA will be offering packs for those who login for a certain number of session days – the more login days, the better the pack.

In addition, there will be rewards given to those who accumulate enough session days during the Summer Heat promo itself, split across two periods:
- Period #1: June 17 to June 28
- Period #2: June 17 to July 12
Summer Heat Fan Favorites – upgradeable SBC and Objectives cards
Summer Heat Fan Favorites are select popular untradeable cards from past FUT 20 challenges that will be re-released with upgraded stats via new SBCs and Objectives. For your convenience, we will be adding each one below as they’re announced throughout the event.
