YouTuber Yusef ‘FouseyTUBE’ Erekat responded with confusion after finding his Twitch channel has been banned on November 20.

With over 10 million subscribers on YouTube, Erekat is better known as a YouTuber than streamer, but fans also watch him on Twitch when he occasionally hosts broadcasts playing games like Fortnite.

However, his channel was struck down on November 20, likely for breaching the community guidelines, but Fousey himself claims to be unaware of the exact reason.

Twitch bans will typically last anywhere from 24 hours to 30 days, with repeat or severe violations resulting in a permanent account ban.

Why was FouseyTUBE banned from Twitch?

The platform will typically inform partnered streamers of which community guideline violation they perpetrated, but even he isn’t sure what the cause of the suspension is.

After discovering that he had been banned, he posted on Twitter: “What does that mean and what did I do?”

In comparison to his popularity on YouTube, his Twitch channel boasted a fairly small fanbase for him, with just less than 100,000 followers.

When one fan suggested he move to Mixer – Microsoft’s streaming platform – Erekat teased that it might be something he consider, responding “what’s that?” with a wink face.

Mixer has been making attempts to muscle its way into Twitch and YouTube’s share of the livestreaming market. They have acquired some of the biggest names to stream exclusively on their platform, including Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek.

If Fousey does plan on moving his livestreaming exploits elsewhere though, he may be more inclined to simply stream on YouTube instead, where he already has 10 million subscribers.

YouTube has also been making attempts to improve its own livestream capabilities in order to rival Twitch. Fousey himself has been making a comeback to Twitch, back to more frequent uploads, following the July 15 scandal where he deleted his channel.
