Irish YouTube star Daithi De Nogla shocked his fans after uploading a one-minute video in a hospital bed — and now, he’s finally explained the disturbing video after a two-week period.

Nogla is a popular face on YouTube, best known for his humorous gaming videos and expressive thumbnails.

Boasting over 6.8 million subscribers, Nogla is one of YouTube’s rising video game stars — but his community was shocked to learn that he’d undergone a surprise surgery, as told in his one-minute video on the subject on February 3.

Wearing an oxygen mask and clearly coming out of deep anesthesia, Nogla humorously greeted his audience with a groggy, “What’s up, gamers?” and explained that his operation “went pretty good.”

While viewers were relieved to find out the process had been successful, they were left with precious little to go on, until Nogla explained the situation nearly two weeks later.

In an unexpected turn of events, the YouTuber clarified that he’d had to undergo surgery on his testicles, which he laughingly claimed had filled with fluid over a period of time.

The procedure, called a “hydrocelectomy,” repairs this buildup of fluid, which can resolve itself over time or become exacerbated due to swelling and pain.

“I would say, do not Google or YouTube this,” Nogla joked. “It’s the most horrible thing you’ll ever see, especially if you’re a man, because the surgery was on my balls! That’s right. I got surgery on my balls.”

He went on to explain that the surgery had been complicated by an infection, and that he’d been under anesthesia for an hour longer than originally anticipated, ultimately deciding to go to the doctor after experiencing searing pain in his nether regions.

“I woke up one morning with about a 9 out of 10 pain in my balls,” he continued. “It was pretty extreme. Especially my left side. I was very scared of doctors and dentists and everything back then. I have a touch of that still, but nowhere near as bad as it was back then.”

Thankfully, Nogla and his ‘nogles’ are fully intact, and fans can rest easy knowing their favorite YouTuber is back to 100% health.
