Boogie started off his video by praising Dawson for taking one of YouTube’s most polarizing figures and adding a humanizing element to the equation.

One thing that Boogie makes clear that he wants the series to really dial in on as it comes to a close, though, is Paul’s upbringing.

“The other thing I hope they really hammer home with the ending of this Shane Dawson documentary is the fact that I genuinely believe he was raised by what appears to be narcissists,” Boogie says about Paul’s parents.” I don’t mean the kind you see on YouTube every day that claim to be narcissists. But I mean actual, genuine narcissists.”

Despite this, Boogie admits that Paul’s parents likely had good intentions in raising their two sons in the way they did, but concluding that it simply did more harm than good in the end.

Even with all of the negativity that has surrounded Paul throughout his career, Boogie has hope for Paul’s future moving forward.

“Maybe it’s time for the outlandish stuff to stop and start doing outlandishly good things. Outlandishly positive things. It looks like Jake is the kind of person who might really consider that moving forward.”
