xQc hates on NASA’s microphones during stream

After watching the live stream for the landing of the NASA InSight Mars probe, popular streamer Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel wondered why NASA always uses such poor quality microphones.

NASA streamed the landing of their Mars InSight probe Monday, November 26 live on Twitch, and xQc decided to watch the stream along with his viewers.

One thing in particular caught his attention: the microphones being used by NASA employees during the procedure were what he called “super scuffed.”

To prove his point, xQc pulled up a clip of the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing where Neil Armstrong recites his famous “One small step for man” line and makes fun of the poor sound quality.

“They spend billions of dollars, and months and years of attempts to go to the Moon, and they finally get there, with all their equipment all this metal all this steel all these resources, all this shit right?” xQc told his chat.

“They finally land there and you know what we get dude?” xQc asked viewers in chat. “We get this piece of shit fucking mic dude.”

xQc probably could have picked a better example than the Moon Landing, where radio signals had to travel roughly 238,900 miles from the Moon to Earth with equipment available almost 50 years ago.

If we ever go back to the Moon, or Mars if Elon Musk has his way, it would be pretty hilarious to watch live with xQc and see what he has to say.

Maybe they’ll even invest in some better headsets by then.
