The former Dallas Fuel star was battling for a slice of the $95,000 prize pool at the Twitch-sponsored event, against Apex superstar streamers like TSM’s Colton ‘Viss’ Visser, 100 Thieves’ Connor ‘Gigz’ White, and NRG pro player Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows.
During the event on September 29, the Canadian decided to spice things up a bit, forgoing his controller for claps and chants as he guided the spectators into some lighthearted synchronized swaying.
As Gotye’s 2011 classic ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ blared out of the star’s speakers, xQc quickly rallied the crowd. He soon had them swinging to the rhythm, with nearly all of them joining in on the fun.
“Let’s go, baby, let’s go! Woooow! Yeah, guys, let’s go!” the streamer said proudly as he led the crowd through the motions. “We did it baby!”

“I’ll be honest, I kind of got stressed out in the middle of it,” Lengyel revealed what was running through his mind as he loaded back into Apex. “I didn’t know what to say to the crowd, there was like no response dude, and I’m like dude… awww, oh well.”
While all’s well that ended well for the Canadian and his crowd interactions, his results in the tournament itself were a little more lackluster. The star placed 17th, 15th, and 12th in his three Group A matches, collecting just two kills overall.
xQc found more success in the team-based bounty competition earlier in the day, however, finishing third in ‘Team xQc’ behindSentinels and Natus Vincere. His teammates for the $24,500 finish were Lothar and Overpowered.
