Valkyrae responded to criticism of her RFLCT skincare line shortly after its launch, calling the hate and doubts she’s received “valid” as her team looks to fix the situation.
RFLCT immediately drew ire for its claim of protecting users from “potentially harmful” blue light that comes from all screens.
The 100 Thieves co-owner said she was also confused about the product launch. She took issue with the lack of communication on the website to studies and research that led to RFLCT.
Valkyrae statement on RFLCT drama
Valkyrae broke her silence two days after her initial response when criticisms first unfolded. At the time, she said she, too, was confused, but couldn’t elaborate.
On Oct 21, she shared more about what had gone wrong in her eyes and said that the hate toward the situation was valid.
“I’ve been waiting to speak and to stream until after I see how the RFLCT website has been updated,” she said. “All the hate, the doubt, concerns and the criticism are all warranted and valid. I understand completely where you’re all coming from.”

“I also was very upset and confused when I saw the website and there were no links to the studies or credits to the labs or the people that work behind the scenes to make RFLCT happen.”

Valkyrae’s return to streaming
Up to this point, Valkyrae hasn’t gone live on her YouTube channel, as she was previously advised to refrain from speaking on the matter.
Valkyrae is waiting for her team to update RFLCT’s site with the proper links and details of her product and its benefits.
She expects to return to streaming and will share more details of what’s happening with RFLCT as soon as the site is updated.
