Former Gears of War professional player turned full time streamer Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff has finally hit a major milestone on his Twitch channel after years of dedicated full time streaming.
After stepping away from competitive Gears of War and his time on the historic ‘Nsanez’ team in the early days of GOW esports, NICKMERCS focused his efforts on streaming and quickly became popular enough to make a living full time.

He continued to grow throughout 2016 and 2017, mainly playing Call of Duty Search and Destroy tournaments on both Black Ops III and Modern Warfare Remastered.
But, similar to many other streamers, his following boomed thanks to the release and subsequent rise in popularity of Fortnite Battle Royale.

While some of his increased popularity is due to Fortnite, there is no taking away from his own dedication and quality of content, especially since Fortnite streaming quickly became a saturated genre.
