Twitch streamer “TheVikingBeard” was left an emotional wreck after his dedicated fanbase gave him the jaw-dropping birthday gift of a completely funded personal computer.
Many top Twitch streamers boast incredibly dedicated fanbases, some of whom send mail to their public PO boxes as a way of showing their appreciation.
While personalities like Pokimane have received less-than-savory prank gifts from their fans, one streamer blew every other broadcaster’s fanbase out of the water on his birthday in December 2019.

Virginia-based variety streamer “TheVikingBeard” was in the middle of a World of Warcraft broadcast on December 3 when he received a package in the mail, which he decided to open on camera for his audience.
In the package was a cylindrical, rot-cipher-based puzzle, which TheVikingBeard was tasked with decoding in order to get at the contents inside.

The six-letter code word necessary for opening the cipher was “Viking,” which he input to reveal a note tucked away within the cylinder.
TheVikingBeard opened the note to read it aloud but immediately broke into tears, later revealing the message to his audience in an emotionally-charged moment that left nary a dry eye in the room.

“The note says, ‘Happy birthday,’” he began. “‘Your community has funded a new computer to be built. Pieces have been bought by community members. It needs to be assembled, tested, and delivered. Soon, it will be yours. Much love, your community.”

“Thank you,” the streamer replied, wiping tears from his eyes. “Thank you very much. I don’t know who all contributed to that, but thank you very, very much. All of you do, in your own way. I assure you.”
He went on to reveal that he currently streams on an “older” computer, claiming that the PC has begun to have issues and calling his incoming birthday gift a “bigger blessing than you could ever know.”
Despite the ever-pervasive toxicity in many online communities, TheVikingBeard’s fanbase stands as a testament that good does still exist in the world, and provided a heartwarming moment to kick off the holiday season.
