Twitter revealed that Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney and Call of Duty pro Seth ‘Scump‘ Abner are among the most talked about esports athletes on the platform, but some other names might surprise you.

Fortnite Battle Royale personalities pave the way

Names like Ninja, TimTheTatman, DrLupo and CourageJD are among the most talked about gaming personalities and lot of it has to do with the fact they attract thousands of viewers on Fortnite Battle Royale each time they go live.

PewDiePie and MrBeast are unsurprisingly found near the top of the list, since they are two of the biggest YouTubers on the site, although their connection to gaming is little more tangential.

On the esports side of things the list is a little clearer. We have Tfue and Myth leading, and a number of Call of Duty players like Scump and Clayster also making the cut.

Team Liquid’s HungryBox is on the list, perhaps boosted due to the crab incident following a Smash Bros. tournament last month. He is joined on the list by TSM’s Leffen.

OpTic Call of Duty pros Crimsix, Dashy and Scumper also make the list due to being members of one of the most popular CoD esports teams.

There’s still a lot of the year left to go and anyone could blow up between now and then so it’s entirely possible this list could look a lot different later on.

We’ll check back in at the end of the year and see where we’re at. Barring some unforeseen game coming out allowing a player to explode in popularity, we imagine it’ll just be a reordering of the current list.
