Popular Fortnite streamer and YouTuber Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff is known for his console play and hilarious antics – but this content creator doesn’t mess around when it comes to personal space.

Despite his nearly three million Twitch followers, NICKMERCS knows that internet fame comes with drawbacks, after allegedly being stalked by strangers flying drones over his home.

NICKMERCS posted a Tweet on the subject on August 11, challenging the as yet unknown pilots with an unmasked threat.

“To whoever is flying drones over my house… you better fuckin’ hope I don’t catch you,” he wrote.

NICKMERCS’ fanbase quickly jumped to the streamer’s defense, both making jokes about the situation and expressing sympathy toward the unfortunate situation.

“1000% why I would never want to be a streamer,” one user wrote. “People are assholes and can’t respect a person’s privacy.”

Even YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has been the victim of stalkers, having moved several times due to fans finding his home address.

“I’ve even had parents coming over with their kids,” Kjellberg said of the issue in a 2016 video. “…Just because you found my address doesn’t mean you found an invitation for you to come over.”

While it’s unclear what the drone pilots in NICKMERCS’ case hope to achieve, there’s no denying that flying such machines (which are capable of capturing camera footage) over someone’s house is a major invasion of privacy and a seriously gross offense, no matter how famous someone may be.
