YouTuber, family vlogger, and author Shay Carl is currently beefing with Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, who he accused of hating his job, claiming that he only uploads videos to make enough money to stay afloat.

KEEMSTAR responded to Carl’s Tweet with a nearly two-minute video, where he claimed that he truly loved his Drama Alert channel and is “financially free” enough to quit YouTube if he so chose.
He likewise took shots at Carl’s own channel, implying that Carl had grown to hate daily vlogging, as well as insinuating that Carl’s callout was a projection of his own insecurities.

Carl responded to the video without skipping a beat, claiming that Drama Alert doesn’t “add any good to the world.”
“That’s the shitty thing about being financially free and still doing something that doesn’t add any good to the world,” he wrote. “It sucks! That’s why you gotta get that upload dopamine urry day!”

In the midst the YouTubers’ bickering, KEEMSTAR claimed that Shay was only calling him out for his coverage over a scandal where Shay was allegedly caught sexting with camgirl Aria Nina.
“It’s HOW you did it!” Carl responded to the claim. “I take responsibility for my shit!”

KEEMSTAR then invited him to speak his truth on an episode of Drama Alert, claiming that they could be friends one day, and even asked him out for a drink.
KEEMSTAR covered the scandal in October of 2017, where he went live in an interview with Nina that discussed the alleged DMs between she and Carl.
