A wild police chase turned into a scene like something straight from a Grand Theft Auto game, as the crash incident turned more dangerous when firearms began ringing out.

GTA 6 is finally set to release in 2025 and while it will certainly bring all sorts of wild police chases and shootouts, real life has its share of moments that seemed ripped from games or movies.

As reported by Outkick, a chase in Dayton, Ohio turned into a brutal scene earlier this week when bullets started flying the same time as sirens were blaring.

According to NBC, the chase began when officers received a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a truck. The suspect continued to drive and even pointed a gun at officers from his vehicle’s window.

Trotwood Police Chief Erik Wilson explained that the driver began swerving through incoming traffic as multiple agencies joined in the chase.

“He began heading back westbound on U.S. 35, at which time he began firing at officers from his moving vehicle,” the chief said.

Eventually, the suspect ended up crashing into a Trotwood officer and deputy’s cars, with law enforcement firing multiple shots at the truck.

Footage of the crash was posted to Instagram and reuploaded to X/Twitter where gunshots could be heard following the collision.

The suspect, who had been shot, was taken to a local hospital. Police say he is expected to survive. It was also revealed that the woman who had been hit originally was related to the suspect, but the two are not married.
