Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys confirmed that she received a sponsorship offer worth $3 million, but explained why she decided to turn it down despite admitting that she didn’t have that much money in her bank account.
Using streamers to promote your product or game has become increasingly popular over the last few years, with companies recognizing the power of using content creators to advertise to their loyal fanbase, with thousands of people tuning in to the biggest streamers daily to watch them.
This offers these creators incredible new ways to make money and increase their revenue, and when fellow streamer Byron ‘Reckful’ Bernstein revealed that he had brought a $3 million offer to Pokimane, he was stunned to see her turn it down, revealing that he expected her to take it instantly.

Talking together on Sunday, January 27, Reckful revealed that he had come to Pokimane with the sponsorship deal, saying: “I messaged her and said ‘I have an offer for you, someone wants to pay you $3 million to do this, and it’s not even that bad a thing to do.’
“She said no. She actually was like; ‘No, it’s crazy.’ I was like holy sh*t, she said no. I really thought you were going to say yes, but then I tried to go empathetic and then I [realized] that it doesn’t make sense for [you], but I’m sure $3 million is a lot. You’re 23, when I was 23 I had $1300 in my bank account.”

“I don’t have $3 million in my bank account and that’s why I’m saying no,” the Canadian replied. “I said no because I’m doing fine in life, I’m doing well enough to not want to do things for money that I don’t naturally want to do, even if it’s $3 million.”

While the pair did confirm the amount on offer, neither revealed the exact nature of the sponsorship, although it doesn’t appear to have been an offer to jump ship to a rival platform, but rather a sponsorship deal that she decided didn’t suit her.
Reckful himself did break some massive news of his own during the Twitch broadcast too, sharing that he recently completed a massive work deal with a tech conglomerate worth $177 million.
