Twitch streamer ‘MissGirlGames,’ who has been chronicling her weight-loss journey via Twitter, placed an online order with Forever21 expecting to receive some size 18 jeans – but got a veritable slap in the face, instead.

MissGirlGames uploaded a picture of her order to Twitter on July 19, showing an Atkins diet bar that had been included with her clothes, prompting a heated tirade from the streamer as to what Forever21 may have been suggesting.

“I went from a size 24 to 18, still a plus size girl, so I ordered jeans from Forever21,” the streamer explained. “Opened the package, when I looked inside I see this Atkins bar. What are you trying to Tell me Forever 21, I’m FAT, LOSE WEIGHT? do you give these to NON-PLUS SIZE WOMEN as well?”

MissGirlGames wasn’t the only woman to have received a diet bar in her plus-size order, either: another customer Tweeted out a similar experience with the store, prompting mass outrage across Twitter.

“This is so shameful!” one user Tweeted of the debacle. “Promoting health is fine. Promoting a certain body size is not okay. I don’t like Forever 21 and this gives me more reason to support my dislike!”

However other users are claiming that the bars were merely part of an advertising campaign, even insulting the streamer for complaining about the addition.

“…No more freebies, someone may be offended!” another user wrote.

MissGirlGames’ Tweet has since gone viral, with news outlets like USA Today and Fox News picking up the story, the latter of whom even interviewed the streamer for a televised segment.

Forever21 has since spoken out amid the outrage, claiming that the Atkins bars were included “across all sizes and categories,” and have “since been removed” from forthcoming orders.
