Nadeshot baited into classic prank during 100 Thieves charity stream

During the 100 Thieves Charity Holiday stream, founder and Call of Duty legend Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag fell for the oldest trick in the book while he was reading out donations.

Even when Nadeshot is doing something generous during the holiday season, the fine folks in the Twitch chat just can’t help but bait him into saying something silly. This time, they got him with a classic.

The org founder announced on December 11 that he would be doing a 100 Thieves Holiday Charity stream, with all the proceeds going towards the Gamers Outreach Foundation. He announced there would be several tiers with different incentives available, including getting tattooed, and doing merch giveaways. There’s even a $50k level for him to assemble a team and compete at an amateur CoD event.

In just a few hours, Nadeshot had already raised an impressive amount of $45k towards Gamers Outreach, on the shoulders of massive donations from the likes of NoahJ, CouRageJD, and TimTheTatman.

But even with good intentions abound, the positive karma from doing charity couldn’t save him from a classic donation prank: reading out the inappropriate name of the donator.

You hate to see it, but at least it all goes to charity, and a good charity at that. Gamers Outreach is a charity that has been around since 2007, that provides recreation through video games to children in hospitals to combat the loneliness, scariness, and isolation that can go along with extended hospital stays.

Gamers Outreach has raised millions over the years and helps over a million individual children per year, and this year, its founder Zach Wigal was nominated for the CNN Hero of the Year award.

In just a few hours, Nadeshot had already hit his goal of raising over $50k towards Gamers Outreach; an incredible milestone to achieve in just a very short amount of time that will go toward helping kids in need. And, that’s not all the 100 Thieves brand is going to raise for charity, as they have a schedule lined up for numerous streamers to raise money throughout the day.

While the highlights of the streams are what makes it to social media, whether it’s Nadeshot getting baited or Cloakz getting his hair butchered, it’s the moments that he spends encouraging donations and subjecting himself to punishments that are the most important.
