MrBeast has shared a full video on X (previously Twitter) in order to test the new ad revenue system Elon Musk introduced and compare it with his earnings on YouTube.
If there are any two individuals that the average joe might know on the internet, it has to be MrBeast and Elon Musk. Both are high-profile celebs who have taken the online world by storm but for completely different reasons.
One rose to fame utilizing YouTube, creating entertaining content that appealed to the masses, granting them plenty of attention. The other was already well known within the tech world, branching across into the social space.
Musk, owner and CEO of Tesla recently purchased X (previously known as Twitter). Following a complete rebranding of the site, Musk has made plenty of changes to the social media platform, for better or for worse. One such change was to the ad revenue system, with Musk letting users monetize their posts.
Now MrBeast is trying his hand at gauging Musk’s ad revenue system, posting up a full video onto X to investigate how much revenue it could generate.

“$1 Car vs $100,000,000 Car!!! I’m curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I’m reuploading this to test it. Will share ad rev next week,” the content creator explained.
MrBeast reuploaded their full $1 car vs $100 million car video which was uploaded to their YouTube channel 3 months prior. MrBeast also mentioned that they would share how much ad revenue they made from the video next week with users, giving a backstage look at how much they make.
It’s uncertain what this may spell for the future of MrBeast’s YouTube channel, with many other popular content creators already retiring from the website. Should X’s revenue stand out, perhaps this won’t just be a one off.
