Mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov called out the UFC in an Instagram post following his post-fight debacle with Conor McGregor at UFC 229.

In the post, Khabib questioned the UFC’s response to McGregor’s attack on his tour bus in April, where the fighter threw a trash can and a metal dolly at the vehicle along with a group of his teammates.

“Why didn’t you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple of people?” Khabib wrote. “…Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought? If you say that I started it, then I do not agree. I finished what he had started.”

Khabib then threatened to quit the organization if his teammate, mixed martial artist Zubaira Tukhugov, is fired. Tukhugov climbed over the octagon during the brawl that ensued after McGregor and Khabib’s fight, engaging in a brief altercation with McGregor that was caught on live television.

“In any case, punish me, [Zubaira] has nothing to do with that,” he continued. “…if you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me, too.”

Khabib likewise challenged the organization to keep his pay from the event, citing upholding his honor as being more important than receiving a paycheck. “And one more thing, you can keep my money that you are withholding,” he stated. “You are pretty busy with that. I hope it won’t get stuck in your throat.”

Tukhugov’s upcoming fight with Artem Lobov has since been canceled, and both McGregor and Khabib are facing an ongoing suspension due to the crowd-wide fight that erupted after their match on October 6.
