YouTube stars Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul tied the knot after two months of dating – but it wasn’t just fans who were uneasy about their union, with Paul admitting that even his parents had their doubts.

Paul opened up about his marriage during an interview with fellow YouTuber Brenden Tieger, who asked him what his parents thought of his recent wedding.

According to Paul, neither of his parents were big fans of he and Tana’s fast-paced relationship – but that wasn’t going to stop him from “proving them wrong.”

“My parents were like, ‘Yo, what are you doing, Jake Paul?’” the Team 10 leader explained. “But I think I’ve proven my parents wrong so many times, and – you know, they have no choice I guess but to support me.”

Despite their marriage, many fans still aren’t sure if “Jana” is the real deal or not – a question echoed by Tieger, who asked the burning question if their relationship was all for show.

This wouldn’t be the first time the couple has addressed their relationship post-marriage, either: Tana Mongeau likewise opened up about their union on the VMA’s red carpet on August 26, claiming that their love life is much the same as before they said their vows.

“…I wish I had some juicy answer, but it’s kinda just the same,” Mongeau said of her marriage. “You know? Now we just have a fancy title – oh, titles, man, those things are crazy! Yeah, everything’s good.”

While “Jana” might be “as real as it gets,” Mongeau admitted that their marriage wasn’t exactly legal in a previous vlog, claiming that she “wanted to not do it legally.”

“Any wedding I have, if I have three more fucking weddings, I really wouldn’t want to do it on paper because I think that legally binding yourself to someone takes away the love,” the MTV starlet said.

Despite rumors of Paul cheating on Tana with ex-girlfriend Erika Costell, it looks like things are on the up-and-up for the couple in wake of their Vegas wedding.
