It’s no secret that YouTuber Jake Paul has been gunning for another boxing match in wake of his 2018 bout with rival “Deji”. His chance may finally be at hand, according cryptic videos on his Instagram stories.
While YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI were gearing up for their famed rematch on November 9, Jake Paul openly petitioned boxing promoter Eddie Hearn for a chance on the card, citing his new status as a pro boxer as the reason for his inclusion on the undercard.
However, Hearn himself seemed a bit nonplussed by the issue, instead offering a separate fight at a later date with another YouTuber. This is likely a huge concession for Jake, who’d hoped to fight someone with “clout” (like Soulja Boy or FaZe Banks, for instance).
💻 Eddie Hearn has revealed that he is still working to make Jake Paul vs AnEsonGib, though he’s seemingly not convinced by Gib’s ‘Seven-Figure Gibber’ nickname. He added that KSI vs Jake Paul could happen, but only if Jake is able to beat Gib first.

A month after big brother Logan Paul’s loss to KSI by split-decision, it seems that Jake’s time may finally have come, according to a statement made on his Instagram story in mid-December.
According to Jake, he has a “big announcement” on the horizon — and he’s not the only YouTuber with such a reveal, either.

Social media star AnEsonGib made a similar statement on his own Instagram story at the same time, with many fans speculating that the two are gearing up for a boxing match, after both Logan Paul, KSI, and Hearn toyed previously toyed with the idea.
Celebrity news outlet TheBreadBatch has also created two posts with a potential date for the bout, although their sources for such information remain unclear at the time of writing.

With a projected date of January 30, 2020, Jake Paul could be set for his own boxing match in the near future — which he already appears to be training for, as he’s completed a training camp with former seven-time boxing champ “Sugar Shane Mosley.”

Considering his previous success against Deji (winning by knockout), it’s safe to say that he may be the favorite to take this potential bout, but speculation is still rife, as he has yet to officially confirm what could be another major step for YouTubers and professional fighting.
