IRL Twitch streamer ‘robcdee’ saved a Japanese tourist being followed by a strange man in Tokyo with some clutch intervention.
During a February 10 stream, the Australian was hanging out by a kebab shop when he noticed a Moroccan girl being followed by a Japanese man in close pursuit.
Thinking quickly, the girl approached Rob and claimed he was her friend. “Here’s my friend,” she said as she approached him.
“Good to see you,” the streamer responded and swiftly patted the woman on the back, indicating that he was up for playing the part.
“Have a good night man,” he told the Japanese fellow who had been trying to get the attention of the girl.
After a little back and forth, the Twitch star was able to send the Japanese man on his way, much to the joy of the tourist who thanked Rob profusely.
Rob explained to the tourist that some Japanese men have a very aggressive style of flirting where they “approach, approach, approach.”

This practice is called nanpa and while it is common in Japan it is frowned upon.
As it turned out, the girl had just arrived in Japan two days prior and had to figure out how to get back to where she was staying.
Luckily for the Moroccan, Rob decided to stay with her for two full hours until her train finally arrived. She couldn’t have picked a better person to approach when she was being pursued earlier.
For his part, Robcdee has a pretty good history of taking care of people in Japan. Earlier in January, the Australian Twitch streamer saved a drunk tourist from an unpleasant situation and helped him get back to his Airbnb.
With Tokyo being such a popular destination for people all over the world, it’s good that streamers such as Rob are willing to give folks a much-needed hand in the event their dream trip goes south.
