[jwplayer kBfl6w9P]Twitch has been livestreaming the Premier League as an extension to Amazon’s deal to air live matches to their Prime Video service. Here’s how and when to catch the streams.
Following Amazon’s acquisition of Twitch for almost $1 billion back in 2014, the livestreaming platform has been constantly expanding its horizons.
After recently venturing into the realm of sports with their Thursday Night Football broadcasts of the NFL and partnering with Formula 1, Twitch are now dipping their toes into football by showcasing the return of the Premier League. The next match up is Sheffield United v Everton.
Sheffield United v Everton Twitch stream
Everton have been having a tough time of things lately, with relatively little promise coming out of the Toffees since the restart of the Premier League.
With nothing to fight for in terms of European competition or a relegation battle, Everton have been struggling to pick up points, but if their individuals are in form they could be a solid match-up for their opposition.
Sheffield United, on the other hand, have had a truly memorable season. Their results under Chris Wilder in recent years have been nothing short of extraordinary, and to top it off they’re now facing the possibility of securing a Europa League spot during their first Premier League season in 13 years. The points are crucial to them and, at their own stadium, they’ll be expecting to pick up all three.
The match is due to kick off at 6 PM BST on Monday, July 20 on the Twitch stream embedded below. Please remember that this is only available for UK viewers.
Some familiar faces should be part of the broadcast, as Amazon have used the likes of Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker to present the coverage.

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez, Lee Dixon, and Alan Shearer have provided punditry too, while Clive Tyldesley, Jon Champion, Peter Drury, and Ally McCoist have been on commentary.
Premier League stream on Twitch
As part of the extension from Amazon’s Prime Video deal with the Premier League, there will be four total matches livestreamed on Twitch.
The first Premier League match showcased on Twitch was Crystal Palace vs Burnley, which finished 1-0 in favor of the travelling side, followed up by a 1-1 tie between Everton and Southampton and a 2-1 victory for Watford over Newcastle United.
The remaining fixtures are:
- Crystal Palace 0-1 Burnley
- Everton 1-1 Southampton
- Watford 2-1 Newcastle United
- Sheffield United v Everton
Each broadcast will be supplemented by EA Sports’ virtual crowd noises to provide the ultimate immersive experience, with Prime Video offering the option to toggle between crowd noise or the ability to hear the players on the pitch.
Twitch FIFA streamer Bateson has also been co-streaming the matches on his channel, so you can watch along with his commentary if you prefer.
Premier League matches are considerably more accessible in the UK following the restart, but this will offer fans the opportunity to tune in and virtually chant for their favorite team from the comfort of their own home – so be sure to bookmark this page to keep track of when and how to watch the next Premier League game on Twitch.
