  1. Open the Instagram app.
  2. Tap the profile tab in the bottom right corner to navigate to your profile page.
  3. Click the three lines at the top right of the screen, then enter ‘Settings.’
  4. Tap ‘Security.’
  5. On the Security page, select ‘Password.
  6. Enter your current password, and then the password you want to change to.
  7. Press ‘Save’ or the checkmark.

The process of changing your password on Instagram is equally as simple from a web browser as it is from the app. Here’s how you do it.

  1. Go to the Instagram website and make sure you’re logged in.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Profile.’
  4. Tap the gear icon next to the ‘Edit Profile’ button.
  5. Select ‘Change password.’
  6. Type your current password, and then the password you want to change it to.
  7. Click ‘Change password’ to confirm.
