Has Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau’s new MTV show been canceled?

YouTube stars Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau went viral after tying the knot at their live-streamed Vegas wedding in July — and now, the newlyweds are getting their very own MTV show. But is their new project going to last?

After teasing fans with a special announcement, the duo officially unveiled their upcoming MTV show “Bustedness” in early December, which appears to take after Rob Dyrdek’s beloved “Ridiculousness.”

However, rumors have circulated amongst fans that the show might never see the light of day, considering imPaulsive’s Mike Majlak teased the show back in October.

Tana Mongeau, Jake Paul, and Mike Majlak’s “Bustedness” has been rumored to have been canceled.

In fact, Drama Alert’s Daniel “KEEMSTAR” Keem likewise Tweeted out the allegations, claiming that MTV producers couldn’t get along with Mongeau according to an “anonymous source” and stating that the show was canceled three days after their announcement went live.

Paul addressed these claims during an upcoming episode of Adam22’s “No Jumper” podcast, from which he uploaded a few teasers to his Instagram story.

One of these clips shows Adam asking Jake about the rumors concerning the show, which the Team 10 founder promptly denied.

“Where do I start with that conversation?” Paul replied. “Why do people still trust [KEEMSTAR] as a news source? I don’t get it. It’s not true at all.”

That’s not all: Paul went on to defend his wife, claiming that the film crew had an excellent experience filming the show’s pilot episode in spite of speculation that Mongeau was too difficult to work with.

“In fact, the people on set were like, ‘This is the best pilot we’ve ever filmed in our whole entire lives,’” he continued. “They were just rambling on about how amazing everyone on the show is.”

Tana Mongeau’s Instagram posts concerning the announcement of her new show have since been deleted, leading fans to wonder if the project has been canceled.

The pair’s “Bustedness” show follows Tana’s own “Tana Turns 21” from earlier this year, which chronicled the YouTuber’s life leading up to her 21st birthday.

Considering the success of this previous venture, it makes sense that MTV might pursue another project with Mongeau and Paul — an endeavor that is apparently fraught with peril, as fans await a release date in wake of cancellation rumors and deleted announcement Tweets.
