Fortnite Battle Royale streamer and Riot Squad content creator ‘THump’ has been banned from live streaming service Twitch for harassment.

THump is one of the most popular Fortnite streamers on Twitch, streaming almost every day to a legion of dedicated fans. He might be forced to kick back for a bit, however, after his account was taken down and suspended.

Why was THump banned from Twitch?

THump was banned on November 14 after his stream was suspected of harassing other users. The Fortnite star is known for going to Just Chatting streams and making commentary on some of the weird and wonderful things he finds.

However, according to THump, one of his subscribers ‘killamario’ has been posting inappropriate content during the ‘raids,’ which Twitch has outlined as being harassment towards other users.

Twitch’s guidelines state that “browsing or raiding channels with malicious intent” and “inciting or encouraging others to harass” can lead to accounts being suspended. While THump himself denies being a part of the harassing, because the user came from his stream, Twitch are still within their rights to suspend him.

Who is THump?

THump is a popular Fortnite content creator currently operating under the Riot Squad banner. He averages about 2,500 viewers every stream with a following of over 160,000 people, and has a YouTube channel with around 20,000 subscribers.

He made headlines after helping raise $5,500 for a fan of his stream, ‘oLTDEdition,’ who suffers from a rare illness. Streamers like Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo also pitched in for the charity drive, which went towards helping oLTDEdition get a new PC.

THump is now the third major Fortnite player to feel the wrath of Twitch’s ban hammer this week, after ‘Clix’ and ‘Khanada’ were taken off the platform for seven and three days respectively. Both Clix and Khanada were suspended for streaming with banned Twitch user ‘Zayn’.

Clix’s ban was later shortened, with the streamer coming back to the platform after just 48 hours.

Given that it’s THump’s first ban on the platform, it’s unlikely he will be out of action for long. It’s unknown how long he has been banned for, but has appealed the decision to get the strike wiped off his account.
