Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed to Jack Dorsey what he would change about Twitter during the platform’s OneTeam 2020 conference in Houston.
Thousands of Twitter employees were gathered in Houston for the OneTeam conference to kick off the new decade.
During the event, founder Jack Dorsey called Tesla CEO Elon Musk on a video conference to say a few words and share some of his wisdom with those attending.
When Jack asked for some feedback and what he would do to improve the company, Elon Musk expressed that he had one particular change in mind.
“I think it would be helpful to differentiate’ between bots and real users,” Musk shared, “Is this a real person or is this a botnet or a sort of troll army or something like that?”
As someone who often gets targeted by bots with spam replies to many of his posts, it made sense why he would be looking for there to be an easy way to differentiate between the real and automated responses.

“How do you tell if the feedback is real or someone trying to manipulate the system, or probably real, or probably trying to manipulate the system?” he continued.
Elon also pointed out that groups would often use bots to skew perception even in cases such as political matters, “what do people actually want, what are people actually upset about versus manipulation of the system by various interest groups.”
Although the idea would likely be welcomed by Twitter users, many have claimed that it would be quite a difficult one to implement on the platform.
Another massive feature that has been in demand from some of the site’s users would be the ability to edit tweets once they have been sent out, however, Dorsey has shown little interest in making it happen as of yet.
