The Code Red Apex Legends tournament features many of Twitch’s biggest stars, but Dr Disrespect revealed why shroud is sitting out the latest competition for the battle royale.
Dr Disrespect’s Code Red series will put $20,000 on the line in the double-elimination tournament, and many were wondering why one of the most exciting FPS streamers wouldn’t be participating.
Before the event began, Dr Disrespect gave an insider look as to why fellow streamer and friend shroud was going to sit out of the Code Red tourney in a hilarious interpretation of the former CS:GO pro.
The Doc recalled a conversation with shroud while impersonating the 24-year-old’s voice which is apparently deep, dull voice.
“Hey Doc, what’s the format,” the Doc said impersonating shroud. “I think that format sucks. Playing in that Twitch Rivals tournament, it was lots of RNG for four hours, and I couldn’t go pee pee… Doc I can’t play in this Code Red tournament. I just don’t think that the format’s right.”

It’s unknown whether the exchange actually took place, but shroud was pretty vocal about the drawn out structure for the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge.

Of course the Doc had his own take on shroud’s absence from the event, joking that shroud was “scared” to match-up against the likes of Two-time back-to-back Blockbuster International Video Gaming Champion.
Both streamers are huge supporters of each other, but that doesn’t stop a bit of ribbing from occasionally happening between the two personalities.
