Former Overwatch League pro turned full-time Twitch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca trolled his chat in the most time-wasting way possible and then bragged about it on YouTube.
During a February 2 broadcast, a mysterious timer appeared on Dafran’s Overwatch competitive play screen and began ticking down, leaving many in the chat to wonder just what would happen once it hit zero.
After the timer stuck zero, a beeping noise started to sound and the Tracer specialist greeted his chat. “Hey, what’s up, guys?” Dafran asked. “Listen guys, I have a huge announcement to make, but the announcement is going to be delayed by another twenty minutes.”
Following the statement, some of the Twitch star’s followers started spamming the Jebaited emote, indicating they had been fooled by the streamer or that they anticipated more shenanigans from the Danish DPS player.
Nonetheless, many held out hope that Dafran could potentially be announcing a return to the Overwatch League given the fact his screen was still on the menu ready to queue.
Francesca only played a single season in the league during the 2019 season, leading the Atlanta Reign to a Stage One playoff berth then retiring after just eight games. Still, the streamer has a history of tricking his fans – notably, he once claimed he wouldn’t even play in the league before making his debut in season two.

As the minutes ticked away, Dafran returned to his stream and once again delayed the “announcement”.
“Hey guys, I know it sucks, but the announcement is taking a little bit longer than expected,” he sighed before resetting the timer back to twenty minutes.
Finally, after a whole hour had elapsed, the streamer appeared on camera. “I have a huge announcement to make,” he revealed. “I’m going to end the stream for today. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”
The troll really annoyed his followers, but it was a classic prank by one of the most nefarious Overwatch streamers on Twitch.
Hopefully, in future streams, the ex-OWL pro can go back to doing what he does best and run circles around opponents in Overwatch instead of jebaiting his patiently waiting audience.
