Beat Saber creator really wants Elon Musk’s new EDM track in the game

Tesla CEO and tech billionaire Elon Musk surprised the internet by releasing an impromptu EDM song on January 30 — and a certain game creator is vying for the track to make an appearance in their product.

Musk’s electronic single, titled “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe,” isn’t a full-on banger that the online buzz might have you believe, instead boasting a rather relaxed atmosphere and oddly inspiring lyrics provided by the SpaceX CEO, himself.

At the time of writing, Elon’s track has amassed over 1.9 million plays on Soundcloud, alone — and although it doesn’t necessarily slap, that isn’t stopping the creator of a viral video game from trying to get the song on its playlist.

Popular rhythm game “Beat Saber” is a known haven for electronic bops, which players jam out to while wielding lightsabers and cutting various directions in half to the beat.

As ridiculous as it sounds, the title provides some seriously hype moments for players and fans alike — and it seems that creator and composer Jaroslav Beck hopes to add to those moments with Musk’s new single, according to a Tweet he made the very next day.

“Hey, how about bringing this to Beat Saber?” Beck wrote, prompting a slew of mixed opinions in the comments below.

While Musk has yet to respond to Beck’s humorous request, it would certainly make for an interesting addition to the game, which can already be customized with whatever tracks users so desire.

Beck isn’t the only game-centric creator to have commented on Musk’s viral EDM single, either: Epic Games’ Brian Sharon also weighed in on the song, writing, “EDM = Elon Does Music.”

Even Incubus’ lead vocalist Brian Sharon had something to say regarding the track, commenting, “@IncubusBand and Elon Musk release new dope tracks on the same day… coincidence? Come on tour with us, bro.”

Although whether “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe” will make it on Beat Saber as an official track remains to be seen, the song adds yet another chapter to the celebrity’s already bursting book full of memeable internet moments from the past few years.
