Alinity responds to speculation of dating her Twitch moderator

With their entire lives in front of a camera for all to see, it comes as no surprise that Twitch streamers undergo a intense speculation concerning their love lives – and popular streamer Alinity Divine is no exception to this rule.

In fact, Alinity addressed rumors that she and her moderator were romantically involved, as told during a broadcast on May 3.

Her moderator, ‘Chronic,’ brought in food while Alinity was chatting with her audience, prompting her to invite him over to her stream setup and explain the specifics of their relationship.

Alinity’s response to the dating rumors

“That’s Chronic,” she explained. “That’s the moderator, Chronic, that you guys see in the chat. So many of you like to call – what do they call you?”

“They call me sweetheart,” Chronic jokingly replied, holding Alinity’s Samoyed dog, Luna. “Honeybuns.”

“We’re just friends, guys,” Alinity clarified.

Dating scandals across the internet

This wouldn’t be the first time a Twitch streamer has been accused of romancing another personality, by far; popular streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is often shipped with fellow streamer Fedmyster – a pairing that isn’t going away anytime soon, thanks to her antics during their dual Fortnite steam in late April.

Even major YouTubers aren’t exempt from such speculation, as seen in the drama surrounding Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau, whose online activity stirred a slew of rumors that the two were secretly dating.

Mongeau was caught filming a Snapchat in Paul’s bed in late April, after Paul had admitted to flirting with her at a party in a vlog shortly beforehand.

The purported couple came out in a series of videos shortly thereafter, claiming that they were not romantically involved despite fan speculation, with Mongeau herself appearing to make fun of the rumors.

“I think it’s always fun to poke fun at how crazy the internet can be,” Mongeau said of the matter during her ‘Mukbang’ video with Paul. “They see one Snapchat of me somewhere and they’re like, ‘You’re automatically f*cking and secretly dating and whatever!’”

Whether big or small, many internet personalities undergo scrutiny for their dating lives, causing some stars like KSI to reportedly hide their significant others from the public eye.
