Popular YouTubers known as the ACE Family are releasing a documentary series about their experience as internet moguls – and their lives aren’t as happy as their vlogs might lead fans to believe.

The family dropped a trailer for the documentary on January 31, which appears to cover both the good and bad aspects of being a super popular YouTube group.
One selection from the trailer detailed an interaction between ACE family patriarch Austin McBroom and a possible thief, while other clips from the ad dealt with similar issues of safety and invasions of personal privacy due to their large fanbase (the group currently boasts over 15 million subscribers).

The four-part series is set to debut on February 23rd, 2019.
This docuseries could mark a response to widespread backlash the family received in early January, after a controversial SnapChat video surfaced of McBroom buying a toddler (reportedly related to a family member of wife Catherine Paiz) a phallic lollipop from a Spencer’s outlet.

In the video, McBroom explained that the child would have stolen the lollipop if he hadn’t bought it for her – but his explanation didn’t sit well with critics.
The family likewise came under fire later in January, after announcing that they would take a break from YouTube to upload content on their mobile app.

Fans widely decried this move, noting that regular viewers would have to pay in order to watch their videos on the app rather than watching for free through YouTube.
While the family has yet to speak out about either controversy, their docuseries could provide a statement on the issues in question. For now, fans and critics alike will have to wait until the end of February for a possible answer.
