EA FC 24 community members mock leakers for getting outdone by devs

The EA FC 24 devs went on the offensive and revealed the upcoming content schedule before leakers could reveal the news themselves.

For better or worse, leakers have taken over the EA FC news cycle. Days and sometimes weeks before a promo even starts, players already know the full team, SBC, and Objective cards. Just like with any other medium, some community members enjoy learning about spoilers ahead of time. But others miss logging in and being shocked by their favorite footballers’ inclusion in a promo event.

For example, players knew about every card included in the second Trailblazers’ team over a week before EA made an official announcement. Staying off social media or muting accounts is one way to avoid spoilers. But EA went a different route and discouraged datamining by directly giving fans a peek behind the curtain.

Community members couldn’t help but laugh as leakers found themselves with nothing to reveal.

EA FC 24 devs get leg up on dataminers

On October 23, EA posted that this week in Ultimate Team, players can expect Squad Foundations SBCS and Objectives, a Ligue 1 Player of the Month SBC, an ICON player SBC, TOTW 6, a new Trailblazers player SBC, and an Upgrade SBC.

Community members called out well-known leakers FutSherrif and others for getting beat to the news.

FutSherrif accepted the challenge and responded: “Ok, I can compete with you, admin.”

A second player added: “EA had enough, so they’re leaking themselves.”

Former Ultimate Team Community Manager Chuboi joked: “Not a leak if you leak it yourself.”

EA may have revealed the schedule, but the devs didn’t provide any insight on what cards to expect. The devs going on offense didn’t stop FutSherrif from revealing that Stoichkov is coming as an ICON SBC soon.

It remains to be seen what kind of an impact EA’s new strategy will have on leaks spreading around social media. But for now, there appears to be no slowing down. For more, make sure to check out the rest of our EA FC 24 coverage.
