Completing a solo dungeon is widely regarded as one of the most impressive feats in Destiny. It takes skill, focus, and an optimized build just to stand a chance. To help you get your first solo completion we’ve put together this list of the easiest dungeons to solo in Destiny 2.

Dungeons have become notoriously difficult with Ghost of the Deep’s massive health pools and Warlord’s Ruin’s brutal encounters being two of the best examples of this.

They are tough to clear regardless, especially blind, but dungeons are even harder when you go in alone. Solo runs are notoriously difficult and require a top-tier loadout and strategy to overcome. Even so, it’s that very challenge that appeals to the most dedicated Guardians looking to prove a point.

Here’s our breakdown of all eight Destiny 2 dungeons ranked from hardest to easiest for solo players to complete.

8. Ghosts of the Deep

  • Expansion: Lightfall
  • Release Date: May 26, 2023
  • Location: New Pacific Arcology, Titan

Introduced in Season 21, Ghosts of the Deep is a grueling dungeon flooded with adds that has multiple bosses with several million health. What makes GotD particularly hard is its bosses also have massive shields that force you to use Arbalest, limiting your loadout greatly.

7. Duality

  • Expansion: The Witch Queen
  • Release Date: May 27, 2022
  • Location: Derelict Leviathan, The Moon

Not only does Duality feature an absurd amount of adds making it fairly overwhelming for a solo player, but it’s also set up in a way that physics-based deaths and being knocked off the map are the norm. This makes Duality extremely frustrating and far from the easiest dungeon to solo in Destiny 2.

6. Warlord’s Ruin

  • Expansion: Lightfall
  • Release Date: December 1, 2023
  • Location: Windswept Crag, European Dead Zone

Though extremely fun to attempt solo, Warlord’s Ruin is a tricky dungeon with two of its bosses having massive health pools and the room for error being minimal. Its final boss, Hefnd’s Vengeance, is especially hard without a team as you’ll need to deal damage, platform, and fight off hordes of enemies to reign victorious.

5. Spire of the Watcher

  • Expansion: The Witch Queen
  • Release Date: December 9, 2022
  • Location: Ares Spire, Mars

Spire of the Watcher isn’t that hard mechanics-wise but this dungeon is long with its bosses having a lot of health and DPS phases taking time to activate. It’s easy to make a small mistake that loses the entire run. Despite its unforgiving bosses preventing Spire from being one of the easiest dungeons to solo in Destiny 2, it’s still worth giving a try for the challenge alone.

4. Prophecy

  • Expansion: Shadowkeep
  • Release Date: June 9, 2020
  • Location: IX Realms

If this was a ranking of the dungeons with the coolest aesthetic there’s no doubt Prophecy would be top. When it comes to difficulty though it is instead a middling dungeon that has become much easier over time thanks to Destiny’s evident powercreep. Even so, you should still be prepared for a challenge and prioritize playing a build with sustain over raw DPS.

3. Grasp of Avarice

  • Expansion: 30th Anniversary Pack
  • Release Date: December 7, 2021
  • Location: Skywatch, Cosmodrome

Grasp of Avarice is one of the easiest dungeons to solo in Destiny 2 and a solid entry point for those trying to get into solo runs. Its mechanics are fairly forgiving and it’s possible to take out all of its bosses in just a few phases even when prioritizing survivability over DPS. Just be aware of the infamous Sparrow section which is known to be a run killer.

2. Pit of Heresy

  • Expansion: Shadowkeep
  • Release Date: October 29, 2019
  • Location: Sorrow’s Harbor, Moon

Two dungeons are highly recommended for solo newcomers to attempt, and Pit of Heresy is one of them. The waves of exploding Thralls can be frustrating, especially on flawless runs but in general Pit of Heresy is a relatively easy dungeon thanks to its straightforward boss fights and low-health enemies. With a bit of practice, you’ll be clearing this legacy dungeon in no time.
