CS:GO caster calls his mom to say he’ll be late for dinner because match goes to overtime

Australian CS:GO caster for Legacy Esports had to embarrassingly call his mother to tell her he was running late for dinner – because the match he was casting went to overtime.

While casting the first round of the ESL Pro League Oceania, between Legacy and Chiefs, caster ‘Conky’ realized he wasn’t making it back in time for dinner with mom.

The match went to a third map, and then went to overtime, dragging it out as long as possible, and it went all the way to 19-16 in Chiefs favor before Conky could finally leave.

He was casting from the official Legacy Esports Twitch channel, which was the main stream a lot of viewers of the match were tuning in on, and so there were thousands listening as he made the call.

He says his mom was “not happy”, but ever the professional, Conky stuck by his duties to cast the match in its entirety.

Finally, once Chiefs got the job done, he explained he quickly had to leave, otherwise his parents were going to kill him.

Unfortunately for Legacy, the 19-16 loss killed what would have otherwise been an impressive comeback, but it was Conky’s casting faux pas that stole the show.

Legacy aren’t out yet though, as they drop to the lower bracket in the ESL Pro League Season 8, while Chiefs move on to the semis.
