Steins Gate fans go wild for perfect Kurisu Makise cosplay

Fans of popular anime Steins;Gate were left floored by a cosplayer’s insanely accurate Kurisu Makise costume. It’s so good, it will have you believing you’ve reached the perfect timeline.

Steins;Gate originally made its anime debut in 2011, and was based off of the 2009 visual novel game. The sci-fi story gripped viewers with its mind blowing themes of time travel and alternate timelines.

Prolific cosplayer ‘mk_ays‘ wowed fans of the series with her incredible take on Kurisu, bringing the red-haired scientist to life with the perfect re-creation. It will leave you saying “El Psy Kongroo!”

Steins;Gate’s Kurisu brought to life

The series revolves around scientist Rintarou Okabe and his friends at Future Gadget Lab. After discovering time travel through their microwave, the group is thrown into a dangerous journey that can unravel reality itself.

Cosplayer mk_ays posted a jaw dropping costume of Kurisu, one of the main characters on the show. Leaning against a rail and staring off into the distance, she captures the genius of Makise who is often lost in thought.

The Russian artist managed to pull off the anime heroine’s iconic long auburn hair style, which flows down her back. Her violet eyes that hang from under her bangs ties the whole look together.

Ays posted another shot of her Steins;Gate cosplay to her Instagram in June 2019. Posing as the character on a set of steps, we get a full view of the detail that went into making her outfit.

From the white shirt and red tie, to the low hanging brown jacket that is tied with belts, she absolutely nailed the eccentric character’s clothing style. The photograph could have been a scene directly from the anime.

Fans of the anime went wild over her take on the scientist, such as user ‘betonkater’ who stated, “The way Kurisu would look in the real world!” Another user ‘xx_escanor_xx’ exclaimed, “How is that possible. You look exactly like every damn character you cosplay.”

Steins;Gate fans couldn’t believe how accurate the Makise cosplay was.

Despite ending in 2011, Steins;Gate got a feature length film in 2013 titled Load Region of Déjà Vu.  Due to popularity, it also got a sequel series called ‘Zero’ which explored one of the alternative universes introduced in the show’s plot.
