Model’s Cheerleader Mercy cosplay needs to be a future Overwatch skin

A cosplay model created her own Overwatch skin of sorts by transforming one of the game’s most popular supports into a cheerleader.

The outfit consists of Mercy wearing a blue and white midriff with a matching skirt. Her hands are covered by sparkly pom-poms and knee-high socks round out the ensemble.

The word “Angels” is written on her shirt, either as a reference to a sports team within the Overwatch universe or to just play up the fact that the hero is designed to be an angel of sorts.

Angelic wings are also found on the outfit right after the word “Angels” on her shirt and on the skirt just for a nice bit of additional attention to detail.

Unfortunately, the cosplay doesn’t include Mercy’s staff or gun which would probably look fantastic with the soft blue and white coloring.

“Mercy has been my fav Overwatch char since the day the game came out and I would only play her,” Eroticneko wrote on her Instagram.

While this cosplay would be perfect for a new Overwatch skin, it would most likely have been released as part of the Halloween event, which sadly ended in November. Another possible time of year where Blizzard could release the skin would be the Anniversary event, where there is no particular theme.

It would also make for a fine addition to the Summer Games event because the skin is still sport-themed.

Of course, for those looking for an actual skin, Mercy’s Recall challenge started on November 13. Players who win nine matches will be able to unlock a brand new time-exclusive Dr Ziegler skin plus a bunch of cosmetics along the way.

The Recall Challenge ends on December 2, 2019. Hopefully, once it’s completed Blizzard can get to work creating a Mercy cheerleader skin for the game too.

Or, at the very least, have it in time for Overwatch 2.
