Cosplayer’s Widowmaker Lunar New Year costume

The Talon assassin is a Damage class hero and is popular in the team-based shooter as a requirement for defense. Living up to her name, the character kills her husband Gerard Lacroix in the title’s ever-expanding lore.

Cosplayer Ivana ‘crescendo.lls‘ became Widowmaker with her incredibly true-to-life costume, which she shared on social media. The artist chose the character’s Lunar New Year skin ‘Black Lily’ which released in 2018.

The stunning picture came together through a collaboration with photographer Tasha Gayle who captured her outfit perfectly, as she struck a pose with the iconic sniper rifle held over her shoulder.

Ivana’s cosplay is one of the best we’ve seen as it’s an insanely faithful recreation. From the glowing red on her crown to her purple flower patterned cheongsam dress, it’s as if she stepped from out of the game itself.

The cosplay artist shared more photos of her work on Instagram, which has over 1.1k followers at the time of writing. In the second photo taken by xenn.cp, we get a full glimpse of her sniper rifle prop which nails every detail of the stylized weapon.

Crescendo also uploaded a video detailing the process of making her headgear, which is two pieces with the elaborate crown sitting on top of her wig. Panning the camera around, we see that she even used light to make the glowing red parts.
