Modern Warfare II has officially launched, and Warzone 2.0 is almost upon us, so one thing many players have asked is whether the Call of Duty Points they bought in previous titles will transfer to the new games.
We know already that cosmetics that have already been purchased in Warzone 1 and other mainline multiplayer CoD titles will not be carrying over, as Call of Duty moves to a unified 2.0 engine, aligning all future games together.
That said, while cosmetics already bought may not carry over into the new generation, many players still have money tied up in CoD Points in the game, in fear that they may become useless after the switch.
So, before you start preparing to load up Warzone 2.0 and spend more money, it’s worth checking whether your CoD Points are going to carry over.
Do CoD Points transfer to MW2 and Warzone 2?
While initially things weren’t clear, it is now confirmed that Call of Duty Points will transfer between Warzone and Modern Warfare 2/Warzone 2.0, with players not having to do anything besides logging into their Activision account.

However, CoD Points are locked to the platform they are purchased on, so you shouldn’t expect them to transfer if you have switched from console to PC, or between consoles.
You’ll be able to make use of the CoD Points you’ve accrued over time on Wednesday, November 16, when the Season 1 Battle Pass drops, and the Store really gets going for the new games.
It’s worth remembering that the Points aren’t necessarily transferring from one game to another, and they will still be available on Modern Warfare 2019, Cold War, Vanguard, and Warzone 1 as well as MWII and Warzone 2.0, so you can continue to use them across any title of your choice.
