The Iron Trials playlist is one of Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific’s most popular. It gets rotated frequently, so here’s what we know about the next round of hardcore Warzone.
As Iron Trials came into effect in Warzone’s Season 5 Reloaded patch, it arrived with little fanfare. Though as the weeks went by and players acclimated to health changes, a higher TTK, and a more competitive ruleset, it quickly became one of the most popular playlists.
With everything from loot adjustments to different Gulag systems, Iron Trials grew to be a big hit among casual players and experienced pros alike. We even saw some high-stakes tournaments adopting the ruleset early into its time in Verdansk.
Warzone Pacific has been in full effect for some time now and its appearances have been fleeting since the Season 1 patch.
Iron Trials is currently live in Warzone
Iron Trials made its triumphant return to Warzone Pacific with the April 13, 2022, weekly update. This instance, however, focused on Rebirth Island.
Weeks later and Iron Trials returned in full with its Caldera debut in the Season 3 update.
Players can currently drop into the Caldera version of Iron Trials throughout Warzone Season 3.

As usual with Iron Trials, TTK is increased, the circle behaves differently, and ground loot has been replaced by exclusive weaponry.
While new playlists have come and gone, Iron Trials hadn’t featured all too much during the Pacific era. That all changed in Seasons 2 & 3, however, as the hardcore mode came back into focus.
Players have now had an opportunity to experience the mode not only on Rebirth, but on Caldera too.
Obviously, the mode won’t be sticking around forever, as we’ve said, Raven likes to chop and change things around for variety’s sake.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted as any further details on Iron Trials emerge.
