While we have delved into the best perks to use within your loadout before now, one Redditor has broken down the nitty gritty of which Assault Rifles have the fastest time-to-kill in Modern Warfare.

But one piece of essential info that came from Sorangkun’s deep-dive, is how the M4 weighs-up against the rest of its class in terms of its time-to-kill (and the results might surprise you).

In terms of the criteria, the Redditor compared the M4A1 with its constituents by shooting at a target with three armor plates at below head-height. The results are as follows:

Well for starters, by default the rifle has little recoil when compared with other fully-automatic rifles in its class (such as the AK-47). Alongside boasting a greater range than the RAM-7, it’s no wonder why the M4 is often the most preferred weapon of choice for the most elite players.

If you’re strictly going for the fastest killing AR, semi-automatic rifles like the FAL, or the slow rate of fire ODEN might be your preferred weapon of choice. Although, you could always opt for a bolt-action Sniper Rifle if you technically want the fastest killing weapon in the game…
