Warzone Ranked Play is back again after the Black Ops 6 integration, with more rewards for you to earn and competitive matches to be won. Here’s everything you need to know, including how it works, the SR system, current restrictions, and what divisions you can climb to.
Ranked Play made its Warzone debut in 2023, finally introducing a true competitive mode to Call of Duty’s battle royale. It took a short break before reappearing following MW3’s integration in December 2023.
Since then, all Ranked Play matches will take place on Resurgence maps Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island. Now, though, it’s finally back on big map Urzikstan.
Here are all the details.
All Ranked Play Divisions
You can progress through eight Skill Divisions by reaching various SR milestones. The current Divisions and SR requirements for each of them are as follows:
- Bronze – Starting Division
- Silver – 900 SR
- Gold – 2,100 SR
- Platinum – 3,600 SR
- Diamond – 5,400 SR
- Crimson – 7,500 SR
- Iridescent – 10,000 SR
- Top 250 – 10,000+ SR
How the SR System works in Ranked Play
Skill Rating determines a player’s placement during the season across eight divisions with everyone starting in Bronze 1 with 0 Skill Rating.
Players progress through higher divisions by reaching specific SR thresholds. Each division has three tiers except for the top two, Iridescent and Top 250.
Gaining SR
Players primarily earn SR by getting kills and assists but it is also earned each time a teammate gets a kill. This year, things have been changed up slightly, as there will be a “rank delta” between you and any enemies you kill, meaning that a bigger gap in rank will give you more or less points. This is based on whether those players are +/- 3 ranks above or below your own.
Here’s how it works:
Rank Delta | Points earned |
---|---|
-3 | 3 |
-2 | 4 |
-1 | 5 |
0 | 6 |
1 | 8 |
2 | 9 |
3 | 10 |
So if you are Bronze 1 and kill a player that is Silver 1, you will get 10 extra elimination points.

Similarly, you can earn extra SR through placement points. You also earn bonus SR per elimination, based on how high you finish. This is how it breaks down:
Placement | Placement SR | Bonus SR Per Elim |
---|---|---|
Top 40 | 0 | 2 |
Top 30 | 10 | 3 |
Top 20 | 20 | 4 |
Top 15 | 30 | 5 |
Top 10 | 50 | 6 |
Top 5 | 60 | 8 |
1st | 100 | 10 |
Losing SR
While there are many ways to gain SR, it can also be lost just as easily. There are two ways to lose SR in Warzone Ranked Play: Deployment Fees and Death Fees.
Deployment Fee
You’ll need to spend SR for each deployment into a match. The lone exception to this is if you are in Bronze, but Silver Division players and up have to pay the following Deployment Fees:
RANK | DEPLOYMENT FEE |
---|---|
Silver I | -10 SR |
Silver II | -15 SR |
Silver III | -20 SR |
Gold I | -25 SR |
Gold II | -30 SR |
Gold III | -40 SR |
Platinum I | -50 SR |
Platinum II | -55 SR |
Platinum III | -60 SR |
Diamond I | -65 SR |
Diamond II | -70 SR |
Diamond III | -75 SR |
Crimson I | -85 SR |
Crimson II | -90 SR |
Crimson III | -95 SR |
Iridescent & Top 250 | 1100 SR plus 5 SR every 500 SR above 10,000, up to a maximum deployment fee of 150 SR. |
It’s worth noting that with the re-introduction of Ranked in Black Ops 6, there is no longer a Death Fee.
