Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was left speechless during the $50,000 Code Green tournament in Call of Duty: Warzone after he and Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar dropped out of the sky, as their helicopter suddenly blew up.

The two streamers, who host regular livestreams on Mixer and Twitch respectively, came together to form what you would think to be a perfect combination in CoD’s latest battle royale competition – linking up with Ben ‘Dr Lupo’ Lupo for the event. However, it didn’t all quite go to plan.

Summit has had his fair share of hilarious gaffes in the past, including setting himself alight in multiple titles – most notably in a CounterStrike: Global Offensive’s DreamHack tournament in Austin, 2016 – but this one might be up there with the very best.

After spotting a few opponents on the ground near Verdansk International Airport, trying to plot their escape in a truck, summit pulled out his rocket launcher and thought it would be a good idea to blast them before they got away. Moments later, the group were shocked to see they had fallen to the ground and were all eliminated from the game.

“WHAT?” Summit shouted, before realizing what he had done. “Dude, what just happened?” Ninja added, clearly shocked by what had transpired.

Summit replied: “I… I rocketed us. I didn’t know you couldn’t shoot a rocket out a helicopter, did you guys? I’m sorry. I thought it was fine, I was locking onto a truck, I thought it was fine.”

The streamer tried to further explain his decision to pull out the launcher, but the sounds of laughter didn’t die down for a few moments. He quickly dropped back into the Gulag, picked up a kill and returned to the action.

This fail might have caused some brief embarrassment for the streamer, but he took it on the chin and did laugh it off in the end. After all, it’s not the first time this type of thing has happened on his Twitch channel.

In terms of taking positives from the hilarious situation, while it might have cost him a life this time around in a tournament situation, it will serve as a reminder not to do the same in future streams.
